My Business Philosophy

The objective of this business is to provide a high quality product and reliable service to you, our customer.  If for some reason you place an order and don't hear back from me within a week PLEASE PLEASE ring me or email me.  If you have any problems with email going through for some reason connected to the site, again, I need and want to know about it.

My aim is to make Steiner Inspired Dolls and Toys available to a far wider range of people than presently exists, to fill a large void in day care centres for multi-cultural dolls, and to provide children with much needed resources that currently aren't available to them.  I also believe very strongly in giving to the community and subsequently 10% of all sales (or goods when requested) will be distributed to various Steiner based Kindergartens and Schools.

A cause that also captured my heart a while back came from seeing a movie called "Spirit Bear" - which depicts the story of one very passionate, dedicated, courageous, remarkable, then teenager, Simon Jackson, and his journey - which he is still on - to save a genetically unique White Bear's habitat and life from becoming extinct. Simon very generously sent me some pics of this gorgeous animal he has risked his own life to protect.   So Simon's crusade also benefits on occasion as well from purchases.  If you are interested you can find a link to his website and some pics of his beloved "Spirit Bear" on the links page.

I hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and your children enjoy using our products as much as we enjoy making them.

At present all you see here is made by myself

Mary

I have been involved in one way or another with hand made items since I was a child.  I first saw, fell in love with and started making Steiner inspired Dolls and Toys when my daughter began pre-school at the Samford Valley Steiner School in Queensland in 1996.

It has long been a dream of mine to make them available to others and during a period when my employment was terminated in February 2006 "one day" arrived.

A very dear friend suggested that perhaps it was time to "explore my passion" in relation to work.  That seed was planted in very fertile ground and with the input of another dear friend and my Mum "Made With Love" was subsequently conceived.

My Mum has always been busy and still now rarely stops.  A genetic trait that I have acquired also. Even in her "quiet time" she can usually be found accompanied by clacking knitting needles and wool.  As long as I can remember she has made all the family's jumpers, cardigans and other knitted items.   She has a rare talent and gift for creating beautiful stitches and her own patterns gained from many years experience and can turn any odd ball/s of wool into masterpiece creations.

The Business

As home grown hobbies require time to be nurtured and grow into businesses and in the meantime we all need to survive - I am presently juggling my love of this craft with a full time position as a senior legal secretary in an extremely busy practice that necessitates 3 hours travelling a day.

I also have a full time job at home as "wife" to my partner, mother to my primary school aged son,  and caretaker of my beloved (becoming self sustaining) garden, so your patience with waiting for any order if items need to be made for you is greatly appreciated.

The range of what is available is HUGE, and pics of many more delightful items will be added in due course.  For those who are familiar with all the items available, please don't hesitate to contact me if there is something specific you would like.
